Getting Others to Join Your List
If you’re not building a list, then you’re leaving money on the table. However, you’re also letting a lot of money slip through your fingers if too many of your visitors are leaving your site without joining your list. Here then are five ways to get more people to subscribe to your newsletter…
1. Write a Squeeze Page
You can’t just put up the words “free newsletter,” post your subscription form and expect a rush of new subscriptions.
Instead, you need to create a squeeze page, which is a sales letter for your newsletter. This page should include the usual parts of a sales letter such as the headline, the bulleted benefit list and a strong call to action.
Here are two additional tips:
? Answer the “what’s in it for me” question. From the second your reader lands on your squeeze page, he’s going to wonder, “what’s in it for me?” Your headline should answer that question by promising a big benefit. And every line of your copy should continue answering that question until your prospect is convinced he needs to join your list.
? Make it reader-oriented. Your letter should use the word “you” as much as possible (otherwise the reader will lose interest). If you have statements that include the word “I,” see if you can rewrite them using the word “you.”
Example: “I’ll show you how to train your dog.”
Rewritten: “You’ll discover how to train your dog.”
2. Offer a Freebie
Yes, your newsletter is free. But you need to offer a little extra bonus to entice subscribers to join now. This extra bonus might be something like:
• A free report or ebook.
• A free multi-part ecourse delivered by autoresponder. (This is one of the best freebies, because it trains your subscribers to read your emails!)
• Free access to a membership site.
• Free access to teleseminar.
• Free audio recordings.
• Free video.
• Free software.
• Or other free tools or resources.
3. Provide Proof
Your prospects don’t believe you. And if they don’t believe you, they’ll guard their email addresses and click the back button. That’s why you should include proof such as endorsements, testimonials, screenshots, video, pictures and other evidence that your claims are true.
Examples:

First off you need to choose a autoresponder, I use aweber because its cheap at $19 a month, they have awesome customer support and they give you full video tutorials on how to use there service. That makes it the most Newbie friendly autoresponder out there. I recommend no other. Now read on for the Secret Page Tip.
People love to have access to things that other people can’t get. It makes them feel special, and it is a marketing tactic that really works. Granting access to secret pages works well on the Internet. It works best when it is limited. For instance, you can grant access to only a lucky few, or you can have a time limit for accessing the pages. You can grant access to secret pages on your website with an autoresponder.
The way this works is quite simple. You create a directory on your website that is password protected, with one login and password that everybody can use. You then create some valuable content for that directory. You can call this your secret vault or your private stash or anything else you want to call it – as long as it sounds like something that your visitors may really want to get their hands on. For instance ‘the secret tools that helped me earn thousands each month’ would probably entice many people who want to learn how to make money.
Once you get the directory and the pages set up, put the URL of the pages and the login name and password in an autoresponder. Write a sales page and distribute it to your opt-in list, or have other list owners distribute it to theirs. Make sure you ‘limit’ the offer. Don’t let people assume that you are going to share this secret information with the rest of the world – they want to be the only ones with this special access!

Mobile Monopoly Review

Review from a complete NEWBIE in IM and in Mobile Marketing
Mobile marketing was not an easy thing for me. I have no inclination to it whatsoever. All I know was a little tweaking on the internet. So, the entire thing about mobile marketing was all first time.
Adam Horowitz’ mobile monopoly was good thing for me. It was “user-friendly”. It has training modules needed for a rough tutorial run. Aside from the modules, lot of good things are there for mobile marketing.
There are 11 modules for you to cover the mobile monopoly course. Each of them is inter-connected. Inside of it are videos that give you a full glimpse of the topic each course are bound to express. At the end of each module, you can download a checklist for to you to assess the things tackled. It really helps.
Going through each module is not that quite fun. Why? Watching videos that all you can see is Adam’s computer screen and listening to his lecture is monotonous. But anyways, it’s worth it I can say because all of the videos are very helpful in establishing the basics of mobile marketing. And besides, we’re not having fun here; we are educating ourselves to this new world of mobile marketing. But a little fun is nice.
As a newbie of this business, I was so excited to explore the wonders of mobile monopoly. I really pour some effort to watch the videos and follow Adam’s instructions. As I go throughout each part of the trainings, it is well explained but sometimes I encountered problems especially entering through each mobile ad platforms. It’s because I am not first hand in registering to each advertising platforms but aside from it, all are fine.
One more thing, you should be very attentive to what Adam tells you because listening to him makes you rich. I observe that he gives key points of what you should do and really encourages you to do the business.
Proven campaigns are also presented. Those are tested campaigns of Adam. So it is a living proof that all the things he said in the course works.
A website was also introduced, that is “beastmobi.com”. This really helps in creating optimized mobile squeeze pages. As usual, there are instructions and videos ready for you to explore and follow. I have a great time creating squeeze pages even though you really have to work your creative mind on it.
Overall, mobile monopoly is a great help for first timers like me. Although I can’t say it’s very easy but it will become easy as you go through it.

This Summer

This summer has been strange for me but I’ve survived the information overload, went from outta state working, to working at home (I’m a lineman by trade so I have to travel alot) and working from home. The IM world is more complicated than they sold me but I can say that after a period of…Hmmm what am I doing here? I’m getting excited again and it’s only been 8 months. Long eight months and a very learning expierence, oh did I mention $$$$…Geeez. Some worth the money and some a total scam (TVI)…not to mention any names LOL. Ok on with the rambling, the 8 months was only when I thought I got smart, I’ve been trying to make money online for 3 yrs or better, Mlm’s, matrix’s, excel and just about anything else that had a worm on it.
Now I’m gonna write an e-book about it and IM in 2010. IM is bigger than ever RIGHT!!! It will be called “A NEWBIES LIGHT” It will be about me after 3 yrs and still no clue, to what transpired me to having a blog, a review site, 40+ domain names (with ideas for each of them), a membership site coming soon and my own BRAND. I would love some input from newbies starting out, to people in my mentorship course. Yes, I paid to get taught what to do the right way and it was totally worth it. It won’t be done until about Dec. 12 (my birthday) so looks like I’ll be giving away gifts. I will have a survey on survey monkey done by8-13-10 or you can leave comments here about whate you would like to see in the new ebook, what you would really like to see out of membership sites and your expierences on what not to do because its a rip off. Advise from a friend

I have a bit of advice for you.
When you come across a product that is over $1000 in cost (this
is my ‘arbitrary line of judgement’), you have to really stop
and think how else you could spend that money.
As I’ve said before, when someone says that they can teach you how to create a good product and launch it for $2000-$5000, you have to stop and ask a few questions:
- Am I receiving personalized one-on-one stuff here? Even medical care – arguably the most expensive of all industries doesn’t charge $3000 for you to just watch a few videos on how to improve your health. The public outrage would be ridiculous!
- Am I guaranteed a certain result? Guess what – a lot of things require a lot more than just information to make it work. Lists, contacts, deep pockets for advertising a lot more. Without these things, often the information is useless.
- Could I learn just as much just by doing it? I’ve learned WAY more by simply taking action and building my lists instead of paying people $2000-$5000 to teach me list building. In the process, I’ve made my own mistakes, discovered my own style, my own ‘system’, and made some good money while doing it. Seriously, just do it and learn as you do it. Yeah, you may not make ‘as much’ as you could’ve. But typically, you could have made $200 and will make just $120 from your first campaign. That’s not enough to justify paying $2000 to ‘improve results’.
- How much time will I invest in this? Just watching videos and going through content can take you DAYS. Days that you could’ve been marketing and making money instead. Think about that a bit more.
- Free tutorials? Companies like Aweber (a list management company that I use) provide excellent tutorials and case studies to learn from. You don’t need to pay anyone (including me) to learn a lot at no cost. Don’t overlook this. Ever.
- Do you see what I see? Want to learn how to launch a product? See what Jeff Walker DID (not just what he teaches!). He ‘gave away’ some free content. Note that this is nothing new or groundbreaking. All of the stuff he taught is stuff you could’ve learned elsewhere. But, he did something else. He got a LOT of people watching his videos and created a ‘buzz’ about it. He also built a very large list in the process. Obviously, he did this by getting his JV partners to mail out. You don’t have those (yet), so just watch and learn – you can’t replicate it anyway.
- What’s the real value? Information is only as valuable in that it is able to help you make more money. A free tip could be worth more than a $4000 ‘mastermind group’ membership. You instinctively know quite a bit about business, buying and selling, and so on. Most of us know more even technically than the supposed ‘gurus’. And if you don’t, remember those free tutorials? Yup, brush up on those first. Here’s all there is to it – find a niche where people need something, find a product that meets their need, and give it to them. That’s it. As I’ve said before, when someone says that they can teach you how to create a good product and launch it for $2000-$5000, you have to stop and ask a few questions:
- Am I receiving personalized one-on-one stuff here? Even medical care – arguably the most expensive of all industries doesn’t charge $3000 for you to just watch a few videos on how to improve your health. The public outrage would be ridiculous!
- Am I guaranteed a certain result? Guess what – a lot of things require a lot more than just information to make it work. Lists, contacts, deep pockets for advertising a lot more. Without these things, often the information is useless.
- Could I learn just as much just by doing it? I’ve learned WAY more by simply taking action and building my lists instead of paying people $2000-$5000 to teach me list building. In the process, I’ve made my own mistakes, discovered my own style, my own ‘system’, and made some good money while doing it. Seriously, just do it and learn as you do it. Yeah, you may not make ‘as much’ as you could’ve. But typically, you could have made $200 and will make just $120 from your first campaign. That’s not enough to justify paying $2000 to ‘improve results’.
- How much time will I invest in this? Just watching videos and going through content can take you DAYS. Days that you could’ve been marketing and making money instead. Think about that a bit more.
- Free tutorials? Companies like Aweber (a list management company that I use) provide excellent tutorials and case studies to learn from. You don’t need to pay anyone (including me) to learn a lot at no cost. Don’t overlook this. Ever.
- Do you see what I see? Want to learn how to launch a product? See what Jeff Walker DID (not just what he teaches!). He ‘gave away’ some free content. Note that this is nothing new or groundbreaking. All of the stuff he taught is stuff you could’ve learned elsewhere. But, he did something else. He got a LOT of people watching his videos and created a ‘buzz’ about it. He also built a very large list in the process. Obviously, he did this by getting his JV partners to mail out. You don’t have those (yet), so just watch and learn – you can’t replicate it anyway.
- What’s the real value? Information is only as valuable in that it is able to help you make more money. A free tip could be worth more than a $4000 ‘mastermind group’ membership. Hey Guys Daniel Sumner here and today I want to talk about you!
Do you ever have days when you find that your whole business isn’t moving as fast as you would like it too? Are those days the days where you just want to bury your head and forget about the whole damn thing in the first place! Hey it happens to the best of us and will happen more than once within our lifetime I can guarantee that.
It’s that deflated feeling to the point where you may just throw in the towel, it is a serious test of your inner strength and your ability to carry on!
Don’t Do it Man! Hold That Towel!
You will regret every minute of it and you will ask yourself in the future should I have done it? Then try to justify your actions to make yourself feel better. I wonder where I would be today if I had given up? Trust me when I say if you give up, then you will never know how successful you can be. The hardest part of your business is getting it started from the ground up.
The truth is there is always a solution to the problems you face if you just seek out the answers. Here are a few examples of excuses we have all heard and most likely used in the past:
• I can’t afford it
• I don’t know how to do it
• I don’t have the time
• I don’t know how to start
The list goes on and on, but let’s take a look at these points in a little more detail and see what we can do to eliminate them.
1, I don’t know how to start – There is a multitude of information out there readily available for free which can start you on the right track. Take blogging for example you can acquire a free blog from Word Press, also a free template to get you started. All you need is a PC it costs nothing to write content and monetize your blog!
Nearly every blog you come across has a free download of some kind which you can use to help you. Free traffic guides, free blog guides, free marketing guides. All of these will get you on the right track in one way or another and offer free advice to move your business forward.
2, I don’t have the time – I know of at least three guys who work all day, look after their children and still find time to post on their blogs and create products! It’s the time you make for yourself to achieve a target that counts. Forget about the TV and structure a little time for you to prioritise your workload and achieve that target. Yeah it may be slower but you are moving in the right direction by taking action.
3, I don’t know how to do it – There is a learning curve for all new activities in the beginning! I never knew how to build a website until I learned. I never knew how to create an eBook until I found out exactly what to do. It’s called building your business knowledge! Yeah it takes time but it’s all worth the effort. You will find ton’s of tutorials and free help on forums, Youtube and blogs to enhance your knowledge. Do you think the likes of Frank Kern, Naomi Dunford and John T stopped thinking and gave up because they never knew how to build their business?
4, I can’t afford it – Possibly the one and only reason which is legitimate here in this list but “and there is always a but” why are you trying to earn an online income in the first place? More income, Better Lifestyle, Financial Freedom the list goes on and it just so happens you are in one of the only businesses in the world you can start with only a PC and an internet connection and very little capital to speak of. You have all seen the video tutorials, the rags to riches stories and the truth is most of us started with nothing in the first place anyway so why worry
Your success is your responsibility and it’s your choice to take action and do something about it. The word of the day is DEDICATION! If you are committed to your business you will prevail but it takes dedication to create success.
I dedicate a lot of my time to marketing, product creation and research. I immerse myself in my business to get results. This will assure my future business success and help me overcome any obstacles. If you stay positive about your business and vision your triumphs then you will prevail and secure the future of your online business. Ignore the words Don’t and Can’t and concentrate on the words Can and Will and your reward will come in time.
Success for 99% of people does not just happen overnight, you may get a few in the minority who achieve greatness quick on the back of some A list marketer’s promo. But for the majority its plain old hard work with an outlook to the future, with structure and a game plan which will help you achieve this goal.
If there is one thing I find I do a lot of is read and research. Less reading more action I am told by my peers and mentors “I also keep telling myself the same thing”. You see one of my biggest fears is not being able to be the best I can be, not being able to write the best blog post, or create the best eBook.
The truth is if I was the best blog writer I would have the best blog, if I was the best eBook writer I would have the best eBooks. If I was the best at product creation I would have the best products (you get the picture). To be honest I’m not the best, if I was I would be a millionaire and I’m not one of those yet either But I never give up and I will succeed, I have the drive to accomplish what I set out to do and I know this attitude will give me the outcome that I am looking for.
Not enough action and too much of the other is common. It’s time to grab the bull by the horns and get up to your neck in it. Stop surfing the net, reading, researching, watching TV, playing games and start making your ideas and dreams a reality. You can’t build your business by talking about it now can you?
You can help yourself by adding structure to your week. Create a schedule of your week and the items you need to do. Take Monday for example my schedule was:
1, write articles and post them on articles sites
2, read and comment on blogs
3, Product development
4, research
Now all these will take around 3 – 4 hours sometimes more sometimes less, but you can make them as long or short as you like. It’s your choice ‘JUST DO SOMETHING’ however large or small it’s a step forward. Hell it’s only 4 things on a list how hard is that?
If you are stuck for ideas create mind maps and spray diagrams to help you break the ideas down into one main idea which you can focus and use as your new project (Google search for Mind Map Tools to help). Say you are stuck for an eBook you want to create but not sure what to write about. Get your ideas down on paper and brain storm it, do your research and plan out your steps to action. Then TAKE ACTION!
If you remember to be yourself and never give up your rewards will come and when the time comes you will be glad you never threw in the towel.

Hello & thanks for having an interest,
I’m James Morten and this is my BLOG Its been a lesson getting this thing posted for this is the 5th posting and probably your first read but I will not be detoured. If your anything like me your here because you A: Hate your job or hate having a JOB, B: Your tired relying on something else to provide for your family and lets face it thats what a JOB does and C: ( MY WHY) You just want more freedom to live the life you choose. Thats why I love affiliate marketing & internet marketing.
I’m a lineman by trade and in my trade they teach you to work smarter not harder (we all hear that everyday) and for those of you that don’t know what a lineman does, we turn the power on when it goes out. Smarter not harder, I bet they didn’t think I would start looking to leave the trade when they told me that but thats what happening YAY!! Now 1. A JOB is what it is a JOB. Internet marketing & affiliate marketing are YOURS and what you make of them. 2. You have no control over a JOB, when its gone usually its gone. 3. Marketing you can do from anywhere, it gives you FREEDOM and thats what my why is. FREEDOM to do what I want when I want ( in the boundries of the law of course lol). Whats your WHY? I’m knocking on 40 and the one thing I want more out of life is FREEDOM.
Currently I’m enrolled in a mentoring class with Alex Jeffery’s and I can say with all certainty that I will do well when this is over. I have big plans, I’ve been at this for awhile and the 1 thing I can say I’ve learned the most of is ALL THAT GLITTERS IS NOT GOLD so be careful in your endevors. I will share everything that I can on my blog. I will post affiliate links of programs that I use or that close JV partners are using, which in turn I WILL USE. I’m putting a very big package together for my fellow students and future followers, so stay tunned.
I would like to say that this is my first blog and if your worried about the writing part…Dont just get something out there so people can see & relate to you. I’m not a very good writer as you can see but I’m trying to be honest about what I am online for. One thing too, you need to find something you feel comfortable doing and stick with it. Dont quit because the results are slower than you’d like. There is no get rich program out there unless your really really good or your ripping people off and i’d rather not deal with that sort. Like I said my writing is all over the place but at least I have something out here that someone else can relate too. PEACE
